海防最前線【The Guardian】，是一部描寫海岸防衛隊的救生員電影，原本乍聽介紹之下，感覺似乎跟跟平常的軍教片差不多，不外乎自大的菜鳥→嚴格的訓練→最後快樂的祝你一路順風，一笑泯恩仇那種宣導片。 而有別於一向只在看到空中直升機飛來、放吊籃、快樂返航，這部片中可以其實看到更多對於救生員在生死之間抉擇、或是訓練的嚴格等等的片子，簡單說，也是忍不住一部讓你看了以後就會向平凡英雄致敬的片子，雖說有些橋段不出那些捍衛戰士、怒海潛將的老套，但…在看到結尾時，我還是不爭氣的被感動到了。 如果有看這部電影，一定會記得片尾曲【Never Let Go】 ，這首由Byran Adams自己編曲自己演唱的歌，除了旋律動人以外，歌詞也很貼近整部電影所不斷陳述的救生員宗旨也不斷讓我想起片中兩位救生員的互動。(感動x2) 片尾的畫面，是由真實的U.S Coastal Guard 的真實畫面還有許多在Katrina颶風襲擊紐奧良後拍攝的，搭上了呼應片中精神的Never Let Go，雖說電影片尾曲人人會播，但少有Never Let Go在本片的效果。
